Mr Patrick Engelen is responsible for compliance with European regulations, including CE marking and the Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive. He handles questions and reports on product safety in accordance with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), which is in force from 13 December 2024.

For reports of unsafe products or questions about health and safety risks of certain products and services, you can also contact the Central Product Safety Contact Point, part of Belspoc (FPS Economy, SMEs, the Middle Classes and Energy).

The Central Contact Point is the Belgian contact point for the Safety Gate system, a European platform for the exchange of information on dangerous products. Producers and distributors are obliged to inform this hotline immediately when they find that a product does not meet safety standards or is involved in an incident. This contributes to the health and safety of all users.
